Detention Officers Houston San Antonio & El Paso As Needed

Starside Security & Investigation, Inc. Detention Services Division (DSD) is looking for as-needed Texas Licensed Armed Detention Officers for Starside’s State, Local and Federal Contracts throughout Texas. Our Detention Officers (DO’S) work at various State, Local and Federal facilities throughout Texas. Starside’s Detention Officers transport inmates from various facilities protecting and securing both the public and the Detainee and preventing escape. Starside also protects the public and the inmate from harm, by providing constant visual observation.

Ideal Candidate :

• Clean Background / Clear Credit / DMV (No Convictions (At all or pattern of arrests)
• Pass a Pre-employment Physical
• Texas Level 3 or 4 Guard Card
• Familiarity with Glock Firearms, (40 Caliber or 9mm primary service weapon)
• Previous Government Service a plus
• Willing to work as needed, weekends, holidays and graveyard.
• Minimum 3 years handling Prisoners / Detainees
• Military / Special Operations a plus (verified by DD214)
• All Starside employees must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Clearance

Compensation is $ 30.00 to $32.50 per hour; Detention Officers must be approved by State, Local and Federal Agency and pass their background. Starside offers 80 Hours of vacation and 56 hours of sick time after 1 year of continual employment, paid as a percentage of fulltime.
