Business Professional - Technical Editor and Writer 3 (Technical Writer)

Job Description :

We are seeking Technical Writers. The successful candidates will join our high-performing team in developing technical documentation for advanced military systems. These include radars for F-, F-, Joint Strike Fighter, F-, B-B, MESA, G / ATOR, VADER, and other UAV systems.

Responsibilities :

Writes, rewrites, and / or edits technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, test requirement documents (TRDs), user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications to communicate clearly and effectively technical information and instructions to a wide range of audiences.

• Oversees preparation of illustrative materials, selecting drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts.
• Conducts quality review of materials.
• Publish materials in various formats, including page-based, electronic (basic and interactive), structured (HTML, XML, and SGML).
• Collaborate with task leads, writers, engineers, and instructors to develop and deliver sensor / system technical manuals to varying levels of detail and delivery formats.
• Perform Desktop Publishing tasks for program / project reports, whitepapers, articles, and other documents.
• Research and compile information from program documents, engineering sources, et al. to develop manual outlines and adhere to military / civilian specifications and standards of technical writing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
