Scheduler / Cost Controls Manager
The Cost Control Manager / Scheduler is pivotal in driving project success by creating and managing detailed schedules, monitoring costs, and analyzing variances to facilitate strategic decision-making. This role integrates planning and financial oversight, collaborating closely with project managers, estimators, and field teams to ensure timely and budget-conscious project delivery. The ideal candidate is meticulous, analytical, and proactive in identifying risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and maintain project schedules using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Track project progress, providing regular schedule updates and forecasts to stakeholders.
- Implement and manage cost control systems to monitor budgets, expenditures, and financial performance.
- Analyze cost and schedule variances, determine root causes, and propose corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project teams to align schedule and cost data.
- Prepare and present reports on schedule status, cost trends, and performance metrics.
- Support change management by evaluating schedule and cost impacts of proposed changes.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, client requirements, and industry standards.
- Participate in project reviews and audits to ensure schedule and cost data accuracy.
- Assist in creating resource-loaded schedules and cash flow projections.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering or a related field, plus five (5) years of progressive post-bachelor’s experience.Must have five (5) years of experience in :Construction and cost control management.Managing Design Build or Design Bid Build infrastructure projects valued at $50 million plus.Requirements
