Mechanical Engineer

Advantage Technical is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Urology Research & Development (R&D) organization at Boston Scientific. This is a six-month contract role with potential for extension, focused on supporting an acquisition and integration project.

Pay Rate : Up to $69.00 / hour

In this role, you'll help integrate the acquired company's Design History File (DHF) into Boston Scientific's compliance framework. You'll assess design verification, test methods, and outputs to determine whether additional testing is needed-and either perform the required testing or update documentation to justify why it's not.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the acquired company's DHF against Boston Scientific's Work Instructions and SOPs; identify and close compliance gaps.
• Support project planning, provide progress updates, and communicate technical risks, trade-offs, and recommendations.
• Develop and execute design verification test methods, validations, and reports.
• Contribute to Design FMEAs, requirements tracing, and Essential Design Output identification.
• Assess the feasibility of alternative designs, processes, and equipment.
• Prepare clear and detailed engineering documentation, including protocols, reports, and justifications.
• Deliver high-quality, compliant engineering solutions that ensure smooth integration of medical device technologies into Boston Scientific's portfolio.
