Responsibilities

The Parkview Family YMCA seeks an enthusiastic and attentive part-time Wellness Center Assistant to join our team to create a welcoming atmosphere that leaves a memorable impression on new and current members.

  • Care : Strong human relations skills and ability to communicate with participants and program staff.
  • Support : Provide a level of service by connecting with members and their wellness goals, ensuring the safety of members using the facilities, and the ability to respond to emergency situations.
  • Serve : Orient members with the fitness equipment to ensure a safe and positive environment for the participants to succeed in their wellness goals.

    • Requirements

    Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as well as :

  • Must be 15 years or older and must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Have reliable transportation to and from work
  • Experience and / or certification from a national organization is preferred.
  • Previous fitness experience with basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology is preferred.
  • Strong human relations skills and ability to communicate with participants and program staff.
  • Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.

    • Salary : Part-time $11.85-$12.35 hour

    Hours Available :

  • Weekday 1 : 00pm- 5 : 15pm
  • Evenings 5 : 00pm- 9 : 30pm
  • Weekends
