Now in our 15th year of consistent growth, we are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our dynamic accounting and finance team. The Staff Accountant will be a key member of the company's accounting team and will provide cross functional support in the accounting department, including accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll. Job Description

• Preparing and recording journal entries, account reconciliations and detailed reports.
• Assisting with month end close, audits and special projects.
• Reviewing expense accounts for accuracy and reasonableness.
• Maintaining accounting schedules in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policy.
• Communicating with other departments to ensure proper accounting for revenue and expense activities.
• Assisting the accounting team with preparation of projections and other strategic projects as required.
• Other accounting-related tasks as requested. Job Requirements
• College degree with accounting concentration
• Understanding of General Ledger
• Strong computer skills including proficiency with Excel, Word and Outlook
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to collaborate in team environments
• These qualifications may set a candidate apart from others :
• CPA / CPA candidate will be a big plus
• Construction experience will be an even bigger plus
• Willingness to work longer hours during month end and audit season (what can we say, it's an accounting department!)
