Job Overview
The Technician will act as a Site Assessor / Quality Assurance representative whose focus will be to provide a professional assessment for the Momentum design team to prepare photovoltaic projects. We are looking for a dependable candidate who can maintain a high level of business ethics, professionalism, and excellent communication between their Momentum team, customers, and upper management. The ideal candidate will be skilled, prideful in their craft, motivated, and willing to learn.

Requirements
Valid Driver's License and Clean MVRHigh School or GED requiredConduct a physical site assessment using various tools and equipment, including data collection devices, photo capturing, range finders, hand tools, ladders, personal protective equipment, etc.Measure roof planes, vents, dormers, T-vents, chimneys, and other roof obstructionsMust be able to work unsupervised for extended periods - Follow a preset job schedule and track hoursProfessional appearance and interaction with homeowners at all times are a MUST - Excellent customer service skills requiredQualifications
Upload shade analysis reports, collected data, and photos of work performed each dayFill out paper and digital site assessment sheetsUpload information through a provided laptop, tablet, and / or mobile deviceUnderstanding of site assessment, construction sequencing, construction methods, and materialsRelevant prior in-home sales experience with a strong record of achievement is an asset but not requiredAbility to organize and maintain paper documents, electronic photos, and filesExcellent written communication skills are required to prepare handwritten site assessmentsAbility to perform basic math with or without the use of an electronic deviceProficiency with smartphone applications and digital camerasBasic computer skills, including the ability to copy files and communicate via emailAbility to read plans, specifications, diagrams, equipment submittals, and material data sheetsAbility to follow standardized processes while working unassistedAbility to interact, communicate and provide detailed summaries of work performed to the homeowner and management teamAbility to interact with co-workers and participate in daily / weekly meetingsPreferences
A minimum of one (1) year experience in a discipline related to construction or building sciences; estimating or site assessment, PV, and energy efficiency experience is preferred but not requiredExperience working in or around electric panels preferredBasic knowledge of residential electrical systems is preferred but not requiredExperience in solar and roofing preferredPhysical Requirements
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions for quality assurance - this includes but is not limited to :
Climbing ladders / stairsAbility to work safely in a branch / warehouse / rooftop / attic environmentAbility to work on rooftops with various pitched surfacesAbility to lift 50 - 70lbsAbility to move any / all equipment as needed - ladders, tools, etc.Ability to work in extreme environments (example : hot sun, cold weather, snow, hot / cold attics and homes)Ability to operate office equipment, including computers, to determine the accuracy of work performedMomentum Solar is an Equal Opportunity Employer
