Key Responsibilities

Procurement Branding & Strategic Communications

Develop and implement a Procurement branding strategy that aligns with BD’s enterprise brand and elevates Procurement’s visibility internally and externally

Partner with Corporate Communications, HR, and Marketing to amplify Procurement’s impact through storytelling, campaigns, and digital content.

Manage Procurement’s presence on internal platforms (e.g., Viva Engage, intranet) and external channels (e.g., LinkedIn, BD.com) to attract talent and showcase innovation

Supplier Communications & Engagement

Design and deliver supplier-facing communications including newsletters, recognition programs, and supplier townhalls

Collaborate with category managers, Business Unit Procurement teams, Supplier and Procurement Excellence teams to ensure consistent messaging across supplier touchpoints.

Associate & Leadership Communications

Support internal communications, onboarding, supplier and associate recognition programs, and executive messaging and leadership presentations.

Event & Program Management

Lead planning and execution of Procurement-led events such as associate and supplier town halls, summits, and recognition events. Coordinate logistics, content development, and post-event communications to ensure alignment and impact.

Social Media & Digital Engagement

Curate and manage Procurement-related content for social media to enhance visibility and employer brand. Track engagement metrics and optimize content strategy to increase reach and resonance.

Campaigns & Programs

Lead communications for critical Procurement programs (e.g., supplier inclusion, supplier excellence, responsible sourcing, digital transformation) & design and execute multi-channel campaigns to drive awareness, adoption, and impact.

Program Management & Strategic Initiatives (30-40%)

Support program management for key Procurement initiatives that support governance, risk management, and strategy execution for the function

Drive execution of strategic projects such as policy and code of conduct rollouts, and capability-building efforts across the Procurement organization.

Monitor progress, manage risks, and report outcomes to senior leadership to ensure transparency and accountability.

Lead change management communications for Procurement systems, tools, or process updates.

Facilitate feedback loops from suppliers and associates to inform continuous improvement in Procurement programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, Supply Chain or related field.

7+ years of experience in corporate communications, preferably within Procurement or Supply Chain.

Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, compelling messages.

Experience managing social media content and digital campaigns.

Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and events. Experience working in a global or matrixed organization.

Proficiency in tools such as SharePoint, Viva Engage,Power BI etc.).

Experience with branding, change communications, and campaign development.

Skilled in stakeholder engagement, change management, and advising senior leaders.
