KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our State and Local Tax (SALT) practice. Responsibilities include :

• Assisting multi-state companies with state and local tax issues including compliance, advising, planning, controversies, and technical research
• Reviewing information presented on state income tax returns and schedule K-1 before, during and after preparation
• Researching and drafting technical memoranda regarding income and franchise tax questions
• Supporting multi-state companies with state and local tax controversies which includes preparing clients for discussions with auditors and preparing protests
• Learning and utilizing state-of-the-art technology and innovative solutions in state tax compliance delivery
• Supervising, mentoring, and developing staff
