Position Summary :

The Director of Business Operations at LCI is responsible for leading, coordinating, and optimizing the day-to-day functions across multiple departments to ensure operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and business growth. This position plays a critical leadership role by driving efficiency, aligning departmental objectives with company strategy, and fostering collaboration among cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Leadership & Oversight

Oversee all functional departments including Safety and Compliance, Customer Service, Sales & Marketing, IT / Software Support, and Materials Warehousing, Processing, and Procurement.

Serve as a key decision-maker in aligning operations with the companys overall mission and goals.

Support departmental managers in performance management, resource planning, and process improvement.

Operational Management

Ensure departments are operating efficiently and meeting key performance indicators (KPIs).

Lead initiatives for workflow improvement, cost control, and operational scalability.

Monitor and guide implementation of best practices across departments, including compliance with aerospace industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Cross-Functional Coordination

Facilitate collaboration among Program Managers, Production, Purchasing, Finance, and Sales to ensure streamlined project execution and timely customer delivery.

Act as the liaison between technical operations and leadership to ensure alignment on strategy and performance.

Team Development & Leadership

Coach and mentor department leaders including Program Managers, Finance Manager, Purchasing, and Crew Leads.

Lead efforts to build high-performing teams through recruitment, development, and retention strategies.

Budgeting & Financial Oversight

Collaborate with the Finance Manager and Accounting teams to develop and manage departmental budgets.

Review financial performance regularly and recommend strategies for improvement.

Customer & Vendor Relations

Support Sales & Marketing in client engagement strategies and contract execution.

Oversee vendor management and supplier performance in coordination with Purchasing and Material Processing.

  • Qualifications :

    Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Aerospace Management, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).

    Minimum of 810 years of progressive leadership experience in aerospace, MRO, or a technical manufacturing environment.

    Strong understanding of cross-functional operations including finance, purchasing, program management, and production.

    Proven ability to lead teams, manage change, and improve business processes.

    Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

    Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Quantum) and Microsoft Office Suite.
