Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Newburgh, Indiana.

Med Surg / Tele; RN - Days in Newburgh, Indiana

Cardiac Renal Unit MS / Tele RN

Required Certs to be attached upon submittal : Must have current active compact license. AHA BLS, AHA ACLS and NIHSS.

Minimum Experience REQUIRED : Two years of strong cardiac / tele experience , 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience.

Charting Experience : Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)

NO LOCAL CANIDATES (40 MILE RADIUS RULE)

Contract Length : 13 weeks

Guaranteed hours : 36 (will accept 48s upon request)

Shift Requirement : 12hr Days 6 : 30-7

Float Requirement : First to float within skillset.

Weekend / Holiday Requirement : Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday.

Patient Population : Post cardiac procedure (heart cath, ablation, pacemaker), A-fib RVR, ESRD, CHF, sepsis, tracheostomies, nephrostomy tubes / CBI / renal biopsy, behavioral health / detox.

Skillset : Tele / 12-lead EKG interpretation (TRAVELERS REQUIRED TO PASS TELE TESTS), recover heart caths (femoral / TR bands), PIV insertion, chest tube / indwelling drain management, drip management (cardiac-cardizem, amio, etc., other-heparin, lasix, protonix, etc.). CBI, detox / CIWA protocol experience, central line care. Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills!

Unit Information (Bed size, Case type, Patient ratio) : 34 beds. Ratio : Days 1 : 4-5; NOCs 1 : 6-7; CN takes a patient assignment.

• 3 call-ins can result in termination
• Teaching hospital, may require precepting of students & new-hires
