Job Title : Vice President of Information Technology
Position Overview :
We are seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Vice President of Information Technology to lead and evolve the organization’s technology function. This role is responsible for overseeing IT operations, application development, cybersecurity, vendor management, and digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of hands-on technical expertise and executive leadership capabilities, with a strong focus on modernization, team development, and long-term succession planning.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the IT organization, including application development, service delivery, procurement, systems administration, help desk, and client technology support.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, providing strategic guidance on technology investments, enterprise architecture, and digital transformation.
- Oversee vendor relationships and contract negotiations, ensuring cost-effective and scalable solutions.
- Drive modernization of commercial capabilities, including automation of manual processes and enhancement of customer-facing technologies.
- Champion cybersecurity initiatives, aligning with the NIST framework and improving operational technology (OT) security across manufacturing environments.
- Manage and evolve core technology platforms, including SAP ERP and Salesforce, ensuring alignment with business needs and future growth.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive culture within the IT team, emphasizing leadership development, employee engagement, and cross-functional integration.
- Support succession planning and knowledge transfer from outgoing leadership, ensuring continuity and stability.
- Collaborate with global technology leaders to align local strategies with broader organizational goals and standards.
- Maintain oversight of a multi-million dollar IT budget, balancing personnel, software, and strategic investments.
Qualifications :
Proven experience in senior IT leadership roles, ideally within manufacturing, distribution, or similar industries.Strong background in SAP ERP systems and Salesforce platform management.Demonstrated success in leading digital transformation and modernization initiatives.Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, particularly NIST, and OT lifecycle management.Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to energize teams and implement change collaboratively.Experience managing cross-functional teams and reporting structures in complex organizations.Strategic mindset with the ability to balance long-term vision with day-to-day operational execution.Preferred Attributes :
Calm, thoughtful leadership style with a focus on observation and integration before initiating change.Experience working in hybrid or global environments with cross-border collaboration.Familiarity with Predictive Index or similar behavioral assessment tools.Strong financial acumen and experience managing IT budgets and vendor contracts.Work Environment :
