Speech-Language Pathologist

Sunterra Springs is excited to announce a position for a part time Speech Language Pathologist. Sunterra Springs Riverview is a 30-bed skilled nursing facility located next to the Boise River in beautiful Boise, Idaho. With private suites, restaurant style meals, and our caring staff we deliver an exceptional experience to our patients. Our Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for the following tasks :

• Evaluating levels of swallowing, speech and language difficulty
• Identifying treatment options
• Creating and carrying out individualized treatment plans addressing specific functional needs
• Teaching patients how to make sounds while improving their voices and maintaining fluency
• Helping individuals improve sentence structure and vocabulary used in written and oral language
• Working with patients in developing and strengthening muscles used to swallow
• Counseling patients on ways to cope with swallowing and communication disorders
