Strategic Staffing Solutions is currently looking for a GIS Specialist / Developer for a contract opportunity with one of our largest clients located in St. Louis, MO!

Job Title : GIS Specialist / Developer

Location : St. Louis, MO (Hybrid schedule)

Duration : 12+ Months

Role Type : W2 Contract Engagement

Job Summary :

We are looking for a motivated GIS Specialist or GIS Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have exposure to GIS concepts and tools, with a focus on configuring maps, building custom widgets for Experience Builder, writing and maintaining Python code, and executing tasks to ensure project success. This role requires a blend of technical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

Configure and maintain web maps and applications using ArcGIS tools, including ArcGIS Experience Builder.
Develop and customize widgets for ArcGIS Experience Builder to enhance user functionality.
Write, interpret, and maintain Python scripts to support GIS workflows and automation.
Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver quality solutions.
Ensure timely and successful execution of assigned tasks within GIS projects.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to GIS applications, scripts, and data.
Document workflows, processes, and project outcomes for future reference.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Exposure to GIS concepts, tools, and applications, with a focus on web-based GIS solutions.

Proficiency in Python scripting for GIS workflows and automation.

Experience with ArcGIS Experience Builder and widget customization.

Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS is a plus.
