Senior Software Engineer - Embedded Devices

Acute Care Technology Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for an energetic, ambitious, and innovative full stack senior software engineer who is passionate about building foundational and customer facing functionality leveraging AWS native services, C#, and modern JavaScript frameworks like React and Vue.js. As a senior engineer, you will be an active member of the cross-functional agile team developing our core online platform functionality used by our cloud products and customers. You will be responsible for working on stories following best coding practices and delivering high-quality code while meeting sprint commitments.

Essential Functions

• Actively participate in agile ceremonies and review stories, removing any roadblocks and providing guidance to junior developers as needed
• Deliver clean, concise code that is stable, extensible, well-tested, and meets acceptance criteria, production requirements, and design specifications
• Anticipate any potential development errors / issues, taking ownership and accountability for code and story completion
• Partner with product management on ideation and implementation of new product features and functionality
• Collaborate with team members, including quality assurance and product owners to solve complex problems, code stories, etc.
• Mentor less experienced developers, growing their skillset into successful full stack engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge transfer sessions
• Provide support to operations to resolve high-priority customer issues
• Establish, follow, and implement engineering best practices in a team environment, staying up to date on the latest technical developments, and exhibiting leadership in defining and prototyping the use of leading-edge technologies
• Identify and promote shared services and components to reduce cost and improve information flows
