About The Position

SHIFT : 4X10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday 6AM-4PMSTART : ASAPNEW RATE EFF 8 / 7 : $105REQUIRED : Licenses, Registrations, or CertificationsMedical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) or New Mexico State Radiologic Technology license in the state of employment is required.BLS required.ARRT preferred.ACLS preferred.Weekend RequirementOn CallOn Call RequirementOn Call every other weekend from Friday night at 1600 to Monday morning at 0559Floating Requirement / LocationsPotential to float to all cath lab equipment and digital processing equipment. Performs all cath lab duties such as scrub assistant, X-ray equipment operation and digital processing as indicated. Contributes to the general operation of the department by picking up supplies, stocking supplies, and keeping the work area orderly. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development to perform procedures on and assist in the care of the adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient. A current state issued Radiology Technology license will be required for these individuals prior to employment. Specialization can be obtained in any of the following modalities with training and active participation in all of the following modalities : Diagnostic Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Peripheral Angiography, Permanent Pacemaker Implantation, Automatic Internal Cardiac Defibrillator Implantation. expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies : Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.Assures the quality and acquisition of Cardiac Cath digital images.Positions the cath lab table and sets angles.Assists physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures by preparing the equipment, catheters, and medications, and ensuring everything is sterile.Monitors patients' vital signs and hemodynamic data by keeping a close eye on patients' heart rate, blood pressure, and other vital signs during procedures.Operates imaging equipment using fluoroscopy machines and other imaging devices to capture clear images of the heart and blood vessels.Maintains a sterile environment and prepares the catheterization suite. Ensures a safe and sanitary environment for procedures.Educate patients about catheterization procedures by explaining the procedure to patients beforehand and answering any questions they have.Other duties as assigned. of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent required.Bachelor s of Science Degree preferred.Experience1 year of Cath Lab experience preferred.Work Schedule : 4 X 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday 6AM-4PMWork TimeShow more
