Description Overview
The Head of Engineering will be responsible from Asset Reliability and Maintenance, Production Engineering, Capital Investments and Facilities, reporting to the Site Operations VP. The direct reports of the role are Maintenance Manager, Lead Production Engineer, Project Engineer, Reliability Engineer and Facilities Engineer.
Salary range : $170,000-$195,000
Scope of the Role
- Implement an asset reliability system that achieves the optimum performance of the equipment, improves site resilience, and delivers within agreed budgets,
- Develop technical competence, specifically the upskilling of engineering, maintenance, and facilities teams
- Establish and improve key reliability performance indicators,
- Responsible from Asset Reliability Pillar in Perrigo Work Systems (PWS) implementation
- Maintain real-time communication with the team and other groups
- Creation of flexibility and capability with focus on zero losses, 100% engagement, continuous improvement aimed at waste reduction and efficiency improvements by streamlining processes
- Responsible for capital investment initiatives, and as such for achieving the plant’s Compelling Business Need (CBN) including safety, quality, service, cash flow, productivity and growth targets
- Build strong project management capability within the plant engineering teams through adequate training plans, coaching and mentoring
- Partner with training department to organize workshops and events with OEM / suppliers as well as consultants (e.g. FMEA workshops, Precision Maintenance trainings)
Experience Required
Degree in Engineering or other technical disciplineExcellent understanding of Asset Reliability in terms of Manufacturing contextExpertise in manufacturing optimization10+ years of experience in a similar environment, manufacturing optimization, reliability engineeringExperienced in Six Sigma, Lean Systems Concepts and Principles5+ years of experience in managerial rolesFinancial analysis, budgeting, forecasting experienceProactive structured problem evaluation & solving skills learned through exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, TPM or Operations ExcellenceExemplary written and verbal communication skillsProfitability and zero loss mindsetStrong organization and planning skillsBenefits
