As a Senior Manager within Crowe's Operational Transaction Advisory (OTA) group, you'll help lead our clients through the analysis, planning and execution of complex Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A). We support both the due diligence process as well as the planning and execution of post-close strategies.
Essential Responsibilities
- Engagement Management : Manage strategic relationships with private equity firms and corporate leaders to analyze and execute on M&A deals.
- Design and lead : The Integration Management Office (IMO) for large and distributed (geographically and functionally) project teams across a variety of complex initiatives.
- Client Facing Role : Work in a client facing role, engaging with client teams to uncover synergy and functional area solutions and execute on deal strategy.
- Professional Communication : Communicate professionally, including creation of executive-level deliverables to support client decision makers.
- Practice Management : Assist in recruiting, training, and managing both experienced and campus-hire consultants.
- Project Direction : Provide project direction, oversight and coaching to less-seasoned consultants, consultants from other Crowe practice areas, and subcontractors.
- Methodology Development : Develop methodology to expand delivery capability as well as identify new solutions for prioritization and development.
- Strategic Contributions : Contribute information, insight, and recommendations to OTA strategic and business development plans and recommend and participate in practice management improvement.
- Business Development : Support existing strategic relationships, eventually owning de novo accounts through demonstrated expertise and superior account management skills.
- Knowledge Sharing : Lead industry-specific internal and external knowledge sharing efforts to increase firm awareness and generate new possibilities.
- Market Trends : Identify market trends and champion efforts to develop new products and services.
Required Skills
Consulting Skills : Ability to function in an ambiguous, unstructured, fast moving and rapidly changing environment, make quick sense of it all and add value beyond just a task-oriented doer or project manager; display strong oral and written communication skills from the top down; demonstrate superior problem solving and analytical skills.Leadership Skills : Ability to lead complex M&A projects and model, coach, and train project staff on M&A integration methodologies, practices, methods and tools.Project Management Skills : Strong understanding of critical PM concepts such as activity plans, milestones, task dependencies, risk and issue tracking, status reporting. Ability to effectively lead an engagement team, making effective and efficient use of project resources, identifying and resolving complex problems / issues related to people, processes, and technology and strategy, both internally (organizational) and externally (client / engagement / project).Business Development Skills : Twenty percent of this person's time will be spent on business development activities, including sales call initiation and participation and proposal development. Ability to identify and qualify leads from a client / prospect perspective to determine appropriate solution and facilitate proposal related discussions is key.The successful candidate will be highly adaptable, assertive, and open to new challenges in a fast-paced environment. This person will have significant independence to define and deliver the work required to make our clients successful. Advanced skills in analysis and written and verbal communication are critical, as this role will require significant executive-level interaction.
Qualifications :
15+ years of total relevant experience in the M&A lifecycle (due diligence and integration / carve-outs), including prior roles in areas such as : PMI, M&A / Corporate Development, corporate strategy or program management.Functional expertise in IT plus one or more non-IT areas : e.g. Operations, Sales, HR or Finance.Demonstrated Project Management technical skills, with displayed excellence in managing complex cross-functional programs.Willingness to travel extensively, 80-100% at times; most work occurs at client site.Outstanding communication skills as evidenced by ability to articulate complex technical concepts and business impacts to diverse audiences, including executives.The ideal candidate will be based in Chicago, New York, or Atlanta, but other locations will be considered.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $143,300.00 - $313,400.00 per year.
