We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Superintendent-Healthcare Construction to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to be a part of a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. You will be responsible for assisting in the management and coordination of all aspects of healthcare construction projects from conception to completion. This includes addition, expansion, and MOB (Medical Office Building) construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, budget management, and ACHA (Agency for Health Care Administration) regulations.
Responsibilities :
1. Assist the Superintendent in coordinating and supervising all construction activities.
2. Direct and supervise workers to ensure project is completed within budget and timeline.
3. Ensure all on-site personnel comply with project procedures, safety programs, and ACHA regulations.
4. Assist in planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives.
5. Manage project budget and ensure all work is carried out within the established budget.
6. Conduct quality control inspections to ensure adherence to project specifications.
7. Assist in the resolution of any problems that may arise during the construction process.
8. Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and other professionals working on the project.
9. Prepare and submit daily reports detailing the progress of the construction project.
10. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
Qualifications :
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare construction, with a focus on addition, expansion, and MOB projects.
2. Proven experience in project management and budget management.
3. Extensive knowledge of ACHA regulations and standards.
4. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and direct a team.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
7. Proficient in the use of construction management software.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
9. A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
10. Certifications in construction safety and other relevant areas will be an added advantage.
