Our Medical Assistants will partner with our physicians and other team members on clinical and administrative duties. A great candidate for this role is excited about creating a positive patient experience and ensuring smooth patient flow within the practice. Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet patients on the phone and in person
- Place patients in the exam rooms
- Take vital signs of patients
- Assist and setup up for examination, treatment, and procedures
- Keep accurate patient files
- Apply dressing, bandages, and splints as ordered by podiatrist
- Maintain a sanitized and safe working environment
- Maintain HIPAA
- A variety of other clinical and administrative duties as needed
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or EquivalentCurrent American Heart Association CPR Certification desirableMA Certification a plus, but not requiredEMR Experience is helpful, Athena experience is a plusBenefits of Working with Desert Foot & Ankle

Candidate must posses X-Ray certificate valid in ArizonaCritical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervisionStrong computer skills and use of Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of basic medical procedures such as dressing a woundStrong communication skills and ability to actively listenKnowledge of medical terminology and anatomyStrong organizational and clerical skills to maintain patient files and perform office dutiesCustomer services skillsKnowledge of safety and sanitation proceduresSpirit of teamwork and drive to help provide the highest standards of patient care
