Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer responsible for the design of digital and mixed-signal PCBs for Q-SYS networked audio / video product lines. Key responsibilities include component selection, schematic capture, circuit modelling, PCB layout, hands-on prototype development and debugging, resolution of EMC and regulatory issues, as well as comprehensive testing and validation of designs.

You will collaborate with a cross-functional team comprising mechanical, firmware, test, and manufacturing engineers, as well as program managers and supply chain professionals. This position requires a self-driven individual with strong problem-solving abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and a proven track record of delivering results.

Location : This position is currently open in Ft. Wayne, IN. Minimal domestic travel required.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

• Designs and implements digital and mixed-signal circuits for professional audio / video products.
• Responsible for end-to-end PCB design including component selection, schematic design, PCB layout, hardware documentation release, board bring-up, test, debug, and system integration
• Performs circuit simulation and signal / power integrity simulation.
• Evaluates audio performance of components and systems.
• Conducts design reviews and provides design feedback to peers.
• Creates and documents test plans for design qualification.
• Carries out design verification and validation activities, documenting detailed findings in the form of qualification reports
• Performs other duties as assigned

Preferred Education (i.e. type of degree)

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

Skills and Minimum Experience Required

4+ years of experience designing, troubleshooting, and testing digital and mixed signal circuits (embedded designs for the audio / video market preferred).

The range for this position is $66,500 to $119,700. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant's experience and geographic location.
