MARC Radio Gainesville - Local Sales Manager

Marc Media Group LLC is a privately held, growing media company with a mission to re-imagine new and legacy media to connect with and serve our community. The Group owns radio stations, digital-first newspapers with a weekly print edition, out-of-home advertising (billboards), and a digital advertising agency.

As Local Sales Manager, you would be responsible for managing sales operations, and driving revenue growth, while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

Supervisory Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective targets.
  • Set sales targets, quotas, and objectives in alignment with company goals.
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and client feedback to identify opportunities for growth in your designated market.
  • Monitor and evaluate sales performance, providing guidance and support to improve results.
  • Manage budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation for your unit.
  • Implement the MARC sales training programs to enhance the skills of your sales team.
  • Ensure your entire sales team is logging all sales related activity in the CRM, to include interactions with clients and sales projections.

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders in your business unit.
  • Collaborate with company marketing and programming teams to enhance sales initiatives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market changes.
  • Meet with your supervisor on a regular basis to provide updates on sales numbers and strategies to grow revenue.
  • Sell marketing.
  • Required Skills / Abilities :

  • Established track record of driving revenue and meeting or exceeding sales objectives.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate a sales team.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to customer satisfaction, product quality, and achieving positive outcomes.
  • Self-motivated and persistent performer who works well independently and with team members.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; the ability to communicate persuasively, professionally, and effectively by way of phone, email, text, social media platforms.
  • Ability to multi-task and work with urgency to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to use research materials and data to create effective marketing solutions for the client.
  • Possess strong customer service skills and the ability to follow through.
  • Ability to interact with all levels within the organization and demonstrate a strong team-player approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outreach suite and CRM tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum four years of radio sales management or equivalent media sales management.
  • Minimum eight to ten years’ experience working in radio or equivalent media experience.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Prolonged periods of standing and sitting at a computer.
  • Other Requirements :

  • Possess a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and an acceptable driving record as outlined by company’s insurance provider.
  • Ability to successfully complete pre-employment screenings.
  • Monday to Friday schedule with periodic weekend if needed.

  • $50,000 - $60,000 per year
  • Plus override, commissions, and bonuses
