We support those receiving services through the Home and Community Based (HCBS) Long Term Services and Supports Medicaid Waivers. The Residential Program serves individuals in whichever setting is best suited to their needs, living independently, with family members, or in a state-qualified Host Home.

Status : Full time

Compensation and Benefits :

  • 63,000-$65,000 per year

Schedule : Monday-Friday 8 : 30am-4 : 30pm

Reports to : Executive Director of Spectrum

Position Purpose : Supporting Spectrum clients' medical needs by providing admin services as a part of the nursing team.

Job Duties :

  • Review and file medical information turned in by community providers and make appropriate changes and communication to team
  • Work with agency pharmacy and providers on medication changes.
  • Home visits to clients in residential settings to ensure compliance with medical services.
  • Medical compliance for new client enrollments / client moves
  • Follow up medical Incident Reports and concerns
  • Provide tips and processes to team members for Durable Medical Equipment
  • Order and oversee ordering of medical supplies for individual clients.
  • Medication Administration Records (MAR) Management for all services areas
  • Create and update medical protocols for all services areas.
  • Work with Program Managers on Human Rights Committee (HRC) Informed Consents for applicable medications and medical processes
  • Teach CPR and QMap classes to staff and providers
  • Possible delegations if RN deems appropriate, including initial and ongoing delegations (G-Tube, Suction, etc)
  • Assist with medical appointments and follow up with providers and Program Managers
  • Maintain client medical files
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • Job Requirements

  • Current LPN license in the state of Colorado
  • A minimum of one year of experience working with the I / DD population is preferred but not required
  • Valid Driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel in the Denver metro and surrounding areas
  • Able to pass a criminal and CAPS background check
  • Strong administrative skills, computer-literate with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong writing skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with RNs, supervisor and other team members.
  • Possess a coachable and positive attitude
  • Dependable, excels in time-sensitive situations, meet deadlines, receptive to change, display a willingness to learn along with a cooperative approach to problem-solving
  • Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working at the computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time
  • Drive to and from meetings and shifts in the community
