Position Summary

The primary duties of the CAD Designer / CAD Technician are to serve in a technical support role in the engineering development of urban and rural highway / bridge / environmental projects. Primary duties will focus on computer-aided design and contract plan development using Autodesk AutoCAD and / or Bentley Microstation software. Projects and tasks may include geometric layout for urban and rural highway and intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, environmental permitting support, utility / energy, concept design plans, pedestrian and bicycle facility projects. Duties will also include following company and / or client CAD standards.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers to successfully deliver quality designs and products for clients daily
• Complete quality products for each specific client and agency
• Deliver quality projects in accordance with schedule and budget
• Work independently on multiple projects with independent deadlines
• Learn all agencies’ CAD standards and submittal requirements
• Possess good communication skills, and able to work in a fast-paced team environment
