Background Check Information

Due to the nature of this position the successful applicant must pass a required background check through fingerprinting and enrollment in the continuous RAP Back (Record of Arrest and Prosecution Back) program in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements.

JOB SUMMARY

Manages maintains troubleshoots and services several IT systems including desktop hardware and software; digital signage exhibits and IoT network; IMAX theatre systems; and network infrastructure. Acts as primary backup to the Information Technology Manager in all other IT functions and areas. Supervises IT support staff. Trains and educates Division staff in basic computer operations IT security and safety.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Four (4) years of related experience; OR an equivalent combination of related certification and / or education and experience.

Supervisory experience is preferred.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to climb ladders lift up to 50lbs stoop and crawl in limited-access spaces. Must be able to work in dark places and noisy environments.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THIS POSITION

Clark Planetarium is open 363 days a year with operational hours averaging twelve (12) hours a day. Scheduling flexibility is required. Occassional work required during early-morning / late-night and (rarely) overnight hours. May be required to work weekends and holidays.
