Procurement Technician
General Duties
- Assist department with purchase requisition.
- Assists in interpreting, explaining and ensuring compliance with Company purchasing guidelines and other applicable codes, laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies and procedures.
- Generate and file departmental related reports or documents related to VSR's purchasing.
- Perform customer service functions by telephone and / or in person.
- Issues materials from inventory; reviews requisitions / orders and research discrepancies; retrieves requested stock items from inventory to fill individual requisitions; packages / bundles items for pickup; coordinates delivery of materials to specific departments; maintains logs / records of all materials issued.
- Analyze expenditures to determine if there are better ways to procure goods and services.
- Maintain great vendor relationships.
- Prepare invitation for bids and request for proposals and / or quotes from vendors.
- Maintains current knowledge of trends and developments regarding gaming and lock purchasing procedures and warehouse functions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
High School diploma or GEDDegree in business administration, procurement, or a related field.Two (2) years' previous experience.Strong research and analytical skills.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Data organization skills, attention to detail.Having a team-oriented state of mind.Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening.Benefits
