Technical Sales Representative
Join a leading manufacturer of specialty chemicals dedicated to supporting customers in the metal durable goods industry. This role involves working with chemical applications such as paint and powder coat surface preparation, water treatment, plating, lubricants, and many other process applications. The position is a dual sales and service role, operating from home with daily travel to customer sites. You will engage with customers through technical service visits and prospect for new sales opportunities, focusing on providing value and driving customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities :
- Audit customers' chemical processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide engineering and technical recommendations to enhance customer operations.
- Perform chemical titrations and readings to maintain process control.
- Drive engineering projects that deliver value to customers.
- Write comprehensive technical service reports.
- Host meetings at customer sites to communicate value propositions.
- Cold call and set up in-person sales meetings to engage potential customers.
- Write detailed proposals for potential customers.
- Drive extensively to visit customers and prospects.
Essential Skills :
Experience in technical sales within the chemical or metal treatment industry.Strong background in chemistry or chemical engineering.Proven sales and business development skills.Ability to work independently and self-drive to achieve targets.Additional Skills & Qualifications :

This position allows you to work from home with daily travel to customer and prospect sites. You will be part of a growing team with Account Representatives. The role involves significant interaction with manufacturing facilities, requiring candidates to reside near their designated territory.
Pay and Benefits :
The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $125000.00 / yr.
