Job Description

The competent Nurse in this clinical setting practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care. The role involves providing both routine and complex care while developing long-range goals and coping strategies for managing clinical situations.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the competencies as outlined in OneCHRISTUS : Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Utilize the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of assigned patients.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members and caregivers.
