Key Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate patient care and support within the emergency setting.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with charge nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient needs.
- Manage clerical duties including answering phones, relaying messages, maintaining records, and directing visitors.
- Assist with specimen transport to the laboratory and help manage supply orders to support cost containment.
- Adapt to fast-paced, high-stress situations with flexibility and organization.
- Treat patients and families with respect, providing reassurance and clear explanations as needed.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.Current Nursing Assistant Certification or EMT certification mandatory.Experience as a Nursing Assistant or EMT is required; preference given to candidates with at least one year of emergency department experience.Licensure and Certifications
Active Nursing Assistant Certified license or equivalent EMT certification valid in the region.Professional Expectations
