Luna Data Solutions has an immediate contract for hire position opening (contract term approximately 6 months) for an Exchange / Infrastructure Engineer resource with our public sector industry client located in Austin, TX.

  • This is a hybrid role, in which this resource will work onsite THREE days / week. On-call or scheduled after hours work as required.

NOTE : All candidates must be able to work on a W2 basis

Role : Exchange / Infrastructure Engineer

Role Description :

The Exchange / Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for supporting the core infrastructure including compute, cloud, identity, and application support for the client. The position will assist with managing a complex enterprise scale application and infrastructure environment, which includes robust Windows and Linux Servers, Microsoft Active Directory, and cloud-based infrastructure such as Microsoft 365. Duties will include assisting with design, deployment, automation, and maintenance of the environment along with other related support activities.

Key Activities / Responsibilities :

  • Provides infrastructure support including Microsoft Active Directory, Windows, and Linux server administration, Exchange Online, and Microsoft 365.
  • Automates processes and integrations across multiple technologies, primarily using Windows PowerShell.
  • Analyzes, diagnoses, and resolves complex system issues.
  • Assists in developing and conducting evaluations of new and existing solutions to identify potential benefits and impact to the agency.
  • Monitors and ensure system availability and efficiency.
  • Assists with developing and documenting policies, procedures, and standards for supporting core platform technologies.
  • Collaborates with other agency staff to identify and implement service and security improvements.

    • Other duties assigned, which may include on-call or scheduled after hours work as required.

    Qualifications :

  • Exchange Online experience.
  • M365, Microsoft Active Directory, Windows, and / or automation experience.

    • Exchange On Prem experience a plus.
