We’re seeking a meticulous and motivated Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a contract-to-permanent opportunity, offering the chance to contribute to the quality assurance of internally developed software applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in manual software testing , exceptional problem-solving skills, and a drive to deliver superior results.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute detailed test scripts to evaluate software functionality and performance.
- Perform comprehensive testing of applications, services, and processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Detect, document, and monitor software defects using an issue management platform.
- Work closely with development and testing teams to address issues and improve application quality.
- Analyze test outcomes and offer actionable feedback to optimize the software development lifecycle.
- Ensure all testing activities are aligned with project schedules and milestones.
- Collaborate in team discussions to refine and enhance testing strategies and approaches.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices, integrating them into the testing process.
- At least 5 years of experience in manual software testing and IT analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify and address software issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Familiarity with defect logging and tracking tools.
- Experience in the financial industry or local government applications is a plus.
- Knowledge of databases, system security, and troubleshooting is desirable.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach to problem-solving.
