Position Title : Epicor Administrator
Reports to : Manager, Epicor applications
Primary Responsibility :
The Epicor Administrator's role is to partner with Epicor system users and IT team members to support and update the Epicor application environment. The position is responsible for a broad range of Epicor support processes, from SQL database and application server software administration through user setup and security configuration. Experience with the full range of Epicor ERP application products is extremely important because Maxcess makes use of Epicor ERP, Epicor Electronic Commerce, DocStar ECM, Quick Ship, and Epicor Data Analytics. The Epicor environment at Maxcess supports multi-plant custom manufacturing business processes, and experience in a similar business environment is important. This position supports data access to older legacy applications, such as JobBOSS and historical AS / 400 data. The position also supports application server interfaces with Salesforce and the SFTP application for bank transactions.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Epicor software administration :
Perform routine and advanced tasks related to SQL database support.
Plan, communicate, and execute Epicor patch and revision upgrades for approximately 150 users and 200 workstations.Manage user enrollment and access permissions; respond to ERP user access audits and update requests.Support print environment changes across multiple remote locations, including configuring connections between Epicor application servers and remote print servers for both plain paper and label printing.Service desk support for Epicor users :Serve as the primary point of contact for application and connectivity issues reported via Jira, email, phone, and Microsoft Teams.
Provide emergency support during application outages and assist the Maxcess infrastructure team during network disruptions.Open and manage EpicCare support tickets when escalation to Epicor Support is required.Support Maxcess business operations :Fulfill ad hoc data requests and perform DMT (Data Management Tool) processes for business users.
Generate and distribute monthly business activity reports related to customer quotes and orders.Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.Minimum Qualifications
Required Technical Proficiencies :
Three years of dedicated SQL database supportDemonstrated background in working directly with end users to resolve issuesPreferred Technical Proficiencies :
Prior experience in Epicor application and user administrationKnowledge of key Epicor modules and bolt-on applicationsExperience with Microsoft Office ApplicationsKnowledge / Skills / Abilities :
Effective interpersonal communication with co-workers, management, and vendors.Self-motivation to accomplish objectives and pursue options that will benefit the company.Partner with application super users to successfully complete projects.Proactively work through service requests with user support as needed.Ability to grasp "big picture" details of evolving systems software architecture.Effectively switch between daily support issues and long-term projects.Education / Experience :
Bachelor's DegreeFive years progressively responsible ERP application administration and support experienceStrong knowledge of the Epicor ERP environment and supporting applicationsPhysical requirements :
