The Opportunity
The Fox Chase Cancer Center has partnered with AMN Healthcare to recruit the next Chief of Endocrinology.This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished academic endocrinologist to lead and further advance an established, high-performing program at an outstanding NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center. The new division leader will oversee the research portfolio and all clinical and educational activities of the division, which treats a vast array of array of benign and malignant endocrine conditions.
The Candidate
The Chief of Endocrinology will be a key member of a busy clinical group, collaborating within a multidisciplinary environment and will help develop research programs within endocrinology. There is a significant opportunity to further develop subspecialty programs, and the chief will have the resources to grow and to support the mentorship, recruitment and retention of faculty and will additionally manage financial resources. The new chief will also be supported in achieving personal development and academic goals. Requirements : Board certification in internal medicine, Fellowship trained in Endocrinology, and a record of achievement suitable for appointment as Associate Professor or Professor.
The Organization
The Division of Endocrinology is a growing division with the opportunity to expand to new clinical sites. The program provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of patients with endocrine neoplasms, including thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, pituitary, and neuroendocrine.

With more than 150 funded researchers, a robust immunotherapy program spanning all medical oncology, and strong programs in head and neck as well as other specialty cancers, there is significant opportunity for collaboration. Over the past decade, the size and scope of Fox Chase Cancer Center has expanded in terms of its scientific portfolio, the number of patients served, and the diversity of its patient population.
The affiliation of Fox Chase Cancer Center with Temple University, Temple University Health System, and the Lewis Katz School of Medicine began in 2012. Through this arrangement, Fox Chase Cancer Center combines the flexibility of a free-standing cancer center with the scientific and clinical power of a large academic health system.
The Region
Fox Chase Cancer Center is located in an attractive residential neighborhood in Northeast Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on the border of Bucks, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties. The area offers many housing options, including quiet suburban living and trendy urban neighborhoods, and housing is generally more affordable than in other major Northeastern cities.
