Pay Information $1,628 per week About The Position Job Title : Medical Surgical Registered Nurse Profession : Registered Nurse Specialty : Medical Surgical Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : Minimum of 1 year of inpatient Medical Surgical experience required. License : Current Nursing License Certifications : BLS required Must-Have : Recent Epic experience within the last 6 months required. Nurse to patient ratio is 1 : 6. Local candidates not accepted; must live a minimum of 50 miles from the facility. Description : The Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will provide care for adult and geriatric patients. The daily census in the unit is approximately 8 patients. The unit has 10 rooms and 10 beds. The nurse will work 3x12 hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30. The nurse will be responsible for managing patient care while following isolation precautions and performing peripheral line care. Travel experience is not required. Charge experience is preferred, though not mandatory. Interdisciplinary support is provided by Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, and Unit Secretary. The position requires a commitment to work 2 out of 3 holidays during the contract period. No more than three days of requested time off will be automatically approved. Candidates must have experience with isolation precautions, non-invasive airway management, and the use of nasal cannulas.
