BASIC FUNCTION :

The Licensed Mental Health Clinician will provide a variety of mental health services to mentally ill or emotionally disturbed students including therapy consultation and advice concerning client status diagnosis and treatment.

VACANCY / POSITION SPECIFICS :

• Working Location : Mental Health Resource Center 2351 Cardinal Lane Annex B San Diego CA92123 (Area C).
• The District covers a large portion of San Diego County. Refer to theDistrict Area Map at this Link and make sure to identify any and all specific area(s) you are interested in working in. • Work Schedule : 11 months per year / 40hours per week.

• Positions greater than 20 hours per week qualify for District-paid health and wellness benefits for the employee and their eligible dependents.
• Vacancies thatrequirethe incumbent to be Bilingual in English / Spanish will be considered for positions that require bilingual skills will be invited to a Performance Test (Qualifying Only) for oral and written fluency. Bilingual positions qualify for a 5% bilingual differential.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

Education and Experience :

Any combination of training experience and / or education equivalent to masters degree in psychology mental health counseling or social work; and two years post-masters experience in providing mental health treatment services to children adolescents and their families.

NOTE : Your related education and experience must be clearly represented in the work history and education section of your application.

Licenses and Other Requirements :

Possession of a valid license issued by the State of California as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) or Licensed Clinical Psychologist. Possession of a valid California drivers license and availability of private transportation (mileage expense allowance provided). Some positions may require bilingual Spanish skills.
