Dynamic Hive (dHive), a US manufacturer of innovative glass fronts and Demountable Wall systems, is looking for an Estimator to support its continuous growth.

This person possesses a strong business acumen, understands operational excellence, and has a proven track record of estimating in interior construction.

The ideal Estimator works closely with the dHive Sales team, generating quotes for architects, general contractors and supporting architects and designers in their process of building spaces which utilize our incredible solutions. The candidate capably manages multiple tasks, is detail-oriented, curious, dedicated and of course Dynamic!

Reports To : VP of Pre-Construction

Location : Elkridge, MD

Experience Required :

3+ years experience in construction and / or a manufacturing environment.

Experience with glazing / dry-wall / general contracting / demountable glass partitions is a plus.

Responsibilities :

  • Collect project information from architectural plan sets and clients
  • Estimate material cost, generate quotes, assist in sourcing pricing for installation, all utilizing dHive's proprietary software tools (training provided)
  • Gather intelligence on projects to help close opportunities
  • Coordinate all aspects of a project sale with clients, project managers, production and others
  • Maintain schedules and meet every deadline

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a construction related field
  • Fluent in reading interior non-structural architectural drawings and construction plans (partition plan, door schedule, hardware schedule, etc.)
  • Full proficiency working with large Excel spreadsheets. Knowledge of VB / macros is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to express oneself professionally utilizing both verbal and written communications
  • Ability to problem-solve quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to produce results under pressure of timelines and customer requirements
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently on multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all deliverables are met in a timely manner while maintaining the highest level of quality
