The Lead Technician at Network Connex is a pivotal role responsible for managing all phases of Datacenter installation projects. This position requires strategic thinking and leadership skills to ensure project completion and customer satisfaction. The Lead Technician will oversee the execution of engineering work packages, maintain high standards of quality installation craftsmanship, and provide excellent customer service throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of Datacenter installation projects.
  • Assume total ownership from receipt of completed engineering work package to project completion and final documentation.
  • Provide great customer service and deliver projects according to customer expectations.
  • Run small, medium, and large projects as required.
  • Direct the team in assembling, installing, and securing various cable trays, racks, and cabinets used in telecommunications closets.
  • Ensure compliance with TIA / EIA and BICSI standards during installation and testing of copper and fiber products.
  • Interpret test results from fiber and copper testers and troubleshoot issues as necessary.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • BICSI Certification preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills.
  • Ability to understand and accurately complete all paperwork required for assigned projects.
  • Knowledge of fiber terms and troubleshooting.
