job_description.job_card.job_descriptionAnswer student questions regarding completion of the Federal Application for Federal Complete verification on all applications selected by the Department of Education Resolve conflicting information that is identified between Financial Aid Documents as well as Provide financial aid estimates to students who are interested in registration at Ancora Education Timely submission of student files for Campus Compliance Specialist review Maintain a low error rate when submitting files to the Campus Compliance Submission Effectively communicate with Admissions to ensure future registrations have obtained Ensure files are uploaded into the campus operating system Provide updates to the Director of Financial Aid on students who have not submitted Counsel students and package the ATICTL loan Effectively use and track activities in CampusVue Other duties as assigned High School Diploma (GED acceptable) from an academic institution accredited by a 1 year of experience in a customer service related field Ability to multi-task while maintaining organization Candid, honest, respectful communication skills (both verbal & written) Experience using Microsoft Office (including Word & Excel) Highest levels of integrity, trust, respect, and professionalism, with ability and willingness to Must be current on any student loans 1 year prior experience in Financial Aid Experience with CampusVue Associate's degree or higher from an academic institution accredited by a regional or
JOB SUMMARY
The Financial Aid Officer effectively counsels students and parents on the availability of Title IV
Programs to achieve their educational goals within federal guidelines. Additionally, the
Financial Aid Officer should be regarded by students and teammates as someone who can
assist and answer questions regarding a student's financial aid package. The Financial Aid
Officer provides guidance and assistance to the Director of Financial Aid to ensure that students
are packaged in a timely manner and within compliance standards. The Financial Aid Officer will
work directly with the Director of Financial Aid, Executive Director and Divisional Director of
Financial Aid to develop improvements to the overall quality and environment of the Financial
Aid Office at Ancora Education.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Counsel incoming, continuing, and reentry students on the availability of Title IV funds and
resources to cover their tuition and living costs
Student Aid and Direct Loan Entrance Counseling
other student files within the Institution
appropriate documentation for packaging
documentation or required paperwork to receive Title IV funding
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
