Shift Notes : 24 hour call

Weekends : 7a-7a / Part of Call

On Call : Position is 24 hour call

24-Hour Call : The physician will do consults in the hospital which may generate a surgery that needs to be performed urgently or within a few days versus a scheduled case.

Out of 10 days of Call, may only get called in 1-2 times but will average 3-4 phone calls a night with questions (this is a rough estimate).

Possible Clinic Coverage : Hoping that if locum is working long term, they could help fill in with clinic on occasion. Physician would see patients on-behalf of physician they are covering for, or they would have some follow ups to see generated from consults that were done in the hospital.

This facility is a specialty practice driven by referrals so patient volume may vary.

Average # of patients : 10 (Clinic), 4 (Hospital)
