Job Summary

Under general direction, conducts quality flight instruction required in the professional pilot programs at Saint Louis University.Participates in standardization training for each course that is taught and piece of equipment used in instruction; maintains flight proficiency for each course that is instructed; adheres to all FAA regulations and departmental policies and procedures; researches new and improved teaching techniques.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS :

The selected candidate will behiredinto the job level to which their training / certification applies.

LevelIFlightInstructor :

CFI - the basic CFI certificateis required.CertifiedFlightInstructor– Airplane (CFI) required; CFII / MEI certificate preferred; bachelor’s degree preferred.Can performflighttrainingin a single engine aircraft.Valid medical certificate required.

LevelIIFlightInstructor :

All of the above.

Salary / Benefits :

Salary for Flight Instructor Level I ($40,000), Level II ($44,000) plus benefits including vacation and sick leave, health / dental / vision / life insurance, 403B retirement savings plan and match, tuition remission, employee assistance program and wellness program.
