About This Opportunity

Mathnasium of West Des Moines is looking for motivated, responsible, and passionate "math people" to fill instructor positions. Successful Mathnasium instructors understand the importance of math education and use their impeccable math skills and outgoing personality to help children learn. This is a part-time hourly position.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective and concise math instruction using the Mathnasium Method
• Assist in tracking the progress of each student
• Complete administrative tasks as assigned including daily opening and closing tasks
• Contribute to the creation of an engaging and productive learning environment

Requirements :

Personal Traits : Friendly, outgoing, confident, flexible, sense of humor, professional attitude, trustworthy, passionate, excited, and energetic.

Education : No specific educational requirements although completed education should demonstrate a propensity towards and aptitude for math.

Technical Skills : Impeccable math skills up to Algebra I required with skills up to Calculus preferred. This includes Algebra II, Geometry (with proofs), Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus. Applicants will be required to take a math test that covers topics through Algebra I.
