The Hardware Configuration Management Engineer (aka Configuration Manager) is responsible for actively managing engineering design data throughout a product's lifecycle in accordance with program requirements. This position will support GE Aviation Engineering Power groups located in Pompano Beach, FL and Bohemia, NY.
In this role, you will assist with providing consistency between the product and its configuration information and establishment of Configuration Management Plans (CMP) for assigned programs. In addition, product categories include documents, hardware, software, tools, materials, processes, and systems.
This role will also assist with change administration in accordance with the 5 Pillars of CM and ensure any changes to product information are identified, approved, verified, and recorded in sufficient detail to produce and support the product throughout its life cycle.
The ideal candidate will have prior design PC layout experience using PADS software for implementation of changes.
This position will require onsite work at our Pompano Beach, FL facility
