Essential Functions of role :
This is “hands on” Leadership production operation role.
- Meeting USDA, HACCP, GMFP, and Company standards and under the supervision of the Operation Manager for the Raw Processing Area of the Cook Processing Facility, assists with overseeing the leadership and management of the process and associates to meet the needs and expectations of customers, department and organization. Making sure that all equipment is 100% in condition to operate properly and that the line starts on time.
- Assisting, and training new associates.
- Conducting meetings with associates on changes and other jobs related issues.
- Making sure that associates are informed and follow the rules, polices and procedures for USDA, OSHA and MIOSHA.
- Teaching associates the importance of working safe and in a team environment
- All other task assigned by his / her manager.
Qualifications :
Must have 1 years experience working within MTP’s operations and production areas, or equivalent experience.Must have proven leadership skillsMust be able to motivate others, initiate change and perform with integrityMust be able to problem solve and assist with resolutionMust be able to work with little to no daily supervisionMust be able to follow written and verbal instructionsMust be able to implement all the rules and procedures established by the HACCP program and must be able to work very closely with U.S.D.A.Must have attention to detail.Must be able to speak, read and write the English languageSpanish speaking ability a definite plusMust be able to work safelyMust maintain excellent attendanceMust be able to maintain good records of all productionMust be able to perform other tasks assigned by Operation ManagerMust be able to work in a team environmentMust be able to and must wear necessary Personal Protective Wear required while performing role :Protective Eye Wear
