The Pipeline and Terminals Operations Group at Flint Hills Resources is looking for a Compliance Program Supervisor to join our Pipeline Compliance Team.

This role will supervise Compliance Program Specialists who are responsible for compliance programs, regulatory reporting, and operations compliance support. This role will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with Federal and State regulations. This includes interpreting and communicating existing and proposed regulations, coordinating and facilitating regulatory compliance inspections, owning key compliance programs, and being the point of contact for questions regarding regulatory interpretations and applicability.

This role can be based in Rosemount, MN; Wichita, KS; or Corpus Christi, TX.

What You Will Do

  • Lead, coach, and develop a diverse team, fostering an environment where each team member can maximize their contributions
  • Perform regulatory applicability reviews, interpret and implement regulatory requirements, and provide oversight, using a risk-based, principle-driven approach
  • Prepare for and lead inspections, manage agency correspondence, respond to regulatory requests, and prepare and submit agency-required reports
  • Develop and implement programs and systems to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders
  • Continuously review and adapt procedures to align with evolving regulations and business needs
  • Champion of management of change and drive transformation through innovation and knowledge sharing- including project design reviews, operations and maintenance, and program / procedure changes
  • Be a preferred partner to operations, aligning compliance with operational cadence and applying an operations-centric approach.
  • Commit to ongoing learning and development of pipeline operations and compliance practices
  • Own and be accountable for the successful application and continued improvement of compliance programs
  • Support event response as an active member of the on-call and incident management teams
  • Various other responsibilities will include system sustainability improvement, work management systems, and training

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Leadership and / or direct supervision experience
  • Compliance or operations experience - including regulatory interpretations, compliance program, and system development
  • Experience preparing for and leading / participating in regulatory inspections
  • Willing to travel up to 25%
  • Valid drivers license
  • What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience in the pipeline industry
  • Experience with Federal and State DOT Pipeline and Hazardous Materials regulations, including but not limited to Operations and Maintenance, Operator Qualification, Public Awareness, and Control Room Management
  • Experience with formal and technical writing, including writing guidance documents, responding to regulatory agencies
  • Experience with results-based compliance program ownership – including developing, implementing, and maintaining manuals / programs
  • For this role, we anticipate paying $95,000 - $130,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
