Design Engineer (Architectural Metal)

Are you looking for a technically challenging, autonomous design position that offers career progression and diverse high-end projects? In this pivotal role you will be integral to the creation pf responsible for designing custom made architectural metal systems for a range of projects ranging from commercial, residential, and institutional buildings. You will work closely with engineers and architects to integrate high-end metal solutions into architectural projects, you will produce concept design drawings, including production modelling using AutoCAD. Additionally you will troubleshoot design and production issues and work cross functionally with estimators, and fabricators to transform concepts into reality through efficient, compliant, and manufacturable designs.

The Position :

• Work cross functionally with engineers, stakeholders, estimators, fabricators on technically challenging high-end architectural metal projects from initial design, to manufacture
• Work across a range of projects spanning commercial, residential and institutional buildings
• Lead design and modelling using AutoCAD (Solidworks / Inventor) and troubleshoot any issues
