Join our dynamic R&D Systems Engineering team in North Haven, CT, where you will play a crucial role in supporting test activities to meet project requirements. As a Test Engineer II, you will work onsite, collaborating with cross-functional team members to ensure the highest quality and safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and document system tests.
- Author test reports and route documents for approval, demonstrating strong writing skills.
- Create quality and safety-related documentation to support the validity of tests.
- Communicate test-related activities and results with a multidisciplinary team.
- Perform gauge repeatability and reproducibility assessments.
- Provide input to engineers to assist in the development of test protocols and prototype builds.
- Conduct mechanical and electrical testing to evaluate new and existing products.
- Generate and analyze test data, reporting results per departmental procedures.
- Prepare and operate various lab equipment, such as Instron mechanical testers, visual inspection tools, and autoclaves.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities within the Testing Services team.
- May serve as an extended team member for engineering meetings.
- Train operators on appropriate SOPs.
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
Must Have
Bachelor’s Degree and 0-1 years of relevant experience.Nice to Have
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline, preferably engineering (Biomedical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering) with 1 year of experience in a STEM field.Understanding of creating test methods for verifying product requirements.Familiarity with basic statistics and use of Minitab.Ability to work with QA to ensure testing meets Quality and Regulatory needs.Ability to collaborate with Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, and Software engineers in discovering, documenting, and resolving issues.Experience using oscilloscopes, force gauges, and LabVIEW.
