Job Description

San Bernardino Community College District accepts applications for Federal Work Study, hourly positions for our two college campuses (San Bernardino Valley College and Crafton Hills College) on a continuous basis. However, this does not imply the department is actively recruiting for this position. If there is an interest and / or need within the specific department, applicants who meet the requirements will be contacted by the respective department manager. Applications submitted will remain active for up to one (1) year.

The student worker will assist prospective, new and continuing students with the admission application process including online admission application, online orientation, and class registration.

The student worker will assist in providing program-related general support and assistance to faculty, professional experts, staff, program participants, and students during class / lab activities. Must have the ability to work with a diverse student population.

• Assist with Customer Relation Management (CRM) data entry.
• Assist with program orientation.
• Assist with other applications such as email.
• Distribution of general information.
• Assist with class set-up and clean-up.
• Filing
• Light typing
• Customer service
• General office assistance
• Office clean up and preparation
• Office supply assistance
• Other office clerical tasks as assigned

Will carry forms, class materials, and boxes up to 25 pounds.

Environment : Work is performed primarily in a standard office setting.

Vision : See in the normal visual range with or without correction; vision sufficient to read computer screens and printed documents; and to operate assigned equipment.

Hearing : Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
