Technical Specialist V Cybersecurity Level II

Looking for a mid-level systems engineer (Technical Specialist V Cybersecurity Level II) to support the JS J7 Joint Training DevSecOps pipeline core infrastructure and data center in Suffolk, VA. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the Deputy Directorate, Joint Training (DDJT).

This role is 100% onsite.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Install, configure, and maintain multiple VMware vSphere environments (ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, vSphere Client).
• Manage datastores (VMFS, NFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel); implement and manage software-defined storage solutions like VMware vSAN.
• Install, configure, and administer serveroperating systems, typically Windows Server (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP) andLinux distributions.
• Apply OS-level patches and security updates; ensure servers adhere to security baselines and compliance requirements.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to serverperformance, operating system failures, network connectivity, and applicationinteraction within the VM.
• Develop and maintain scripts (e.g.,PowerShell / PowerCLI for Windows / VMware, Bash / Python for Linux) to automateroutine server and VM management tasks.
