Job Description & Overview
The Network Systems Administrator is responsible for implementing, automating, monitoring, and maintaining critical systems, with a strong emphasis on infrastructure management, automation pipelines, and scripting to streamline operational workflows. While performing key system administration duties, the engineer will lead efforts to evolve our IT systems using a modern methodology. The position demands proficiency in Linux systems, cloud-based platforms like AWS, security principles, and the ability to deploy, manage, and troubleshoot database environments.
This role will help shape the company’s IT strategy and will work closely with internal teams to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing infrastructure.
Work Location : This role is primarily on-site in Scottsdale, AZ, but eligible candidates may work remotely a portion of the time depending on business needs and supervisor approval.
Educational & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Infrastructure, or Systems Administration role, deploying automation technologies

Strong experience managing Linux-based environments in a production environmentHands-on experience with cloud-based infrastructure (AWS) and technologies (Office 365)Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShellFamiliarity with automation tools and version control systems like GitExperience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes preferred)Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and time management skillsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentAbility to troubleshoot network security control services such as : routers, firewalls, switches, access filters, advanced authentication systems, and intrusion detection systemsInstall new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project / operational requirementsDevelop and maintain installation and configuration proceduresPerform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backupsPerform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planningPerform regular file archival and purge as necessaryRepair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituenciesShows initiative and have the ability to work on multiple tasksExhibits effective time management skillsAbility to work independently to meet set goals and objectivesAbility to work in a team environment and use available resources in meeting team deadlinesPreferred Qualifications
