Overview
The Quality Director is responsible for developing, standardizing and maintaining the Quality Assurance, NDE Training, and NDE procedures, programs, and policies along with new technology vetting, acquisition, and applications across USA operations. The major responsibility of this position is to ensure quality programs are in line with client and regulatory compliance. This is accomplished by managing and improving the Quality and Training system. The Quality and Training programs must comply with all relative legislation, regulations, codes, policies, and procedures, as well as additional client requirements. This role will be a change leader across the organization establishing best practices, influencing team members and collaborating with the world class safety culture currently in-place.
The main duties include :
- Develop, organize, implement, track, and maintain the Quality programs including standardization of all Quality programs, procedures and forms, as applicable, in line with regulatory, client, and internal requirements (leveraging technology where possible). This includes but not limited to drafting, reviewing, and approving the standardization of field forms, quality manuals, and specific procedures.
- Effectively influence and collaborate with all levels across the organization to continue building the quality culture and coach / mentor existing quality team members in the business units (union, non-union, engineering).
- Manage, track, and lead the overall program for the training and qualification of NDE staff including but not limited to training curriculums, outsourced training programs, certifications, operator qualification, and other customer defined qualifications.
- Manage and oversee the technical applications support center; this includes but is not limited to managing new technical applications and procedure development for operations and per client request, technical support personnel, and new technology development.
- Effectively prepare and present information and respond to Quality related questions, Develop and maintain standardized KPIs on quality assurance programs; providing metrics in each business unit for reporting purposes, thus taking the pulse of the company’s quality performance. This will be reported to Senior Leadership on regular basis.
- Drive quality improvement across the business through a series of targeted initiatives agreed upon with Senior Leadership and local operations.

Education and Work Experience
10+ years of related Quality, NDT experience.Bachelors or Associates degree and / or equivalent work experience.10 + years of progressive supervisory work experience preferred.Experience with ISO 9000, ASME NQA-1, and NRC; 10 CFR 50 quality programs.Knowledge and experience in Quality Management Software systems.Experience with developing employee training programs related to NDT including conventional and advanced methodologies.Six sigma black belt preferredEmployees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.Certificates and Licenses Required
Professional Certifications, such as the ASNT Level III. UT, MT, RT, PT, VT preferred.Train the Trainer credentials a plus.Options
